Colours from Farrow &Ball

I converted to Farrow & Ball paints about five years ago and fell totally in love with the quality of the colours. We’ve used down pipe and blackened in the hallway; elephants breath, pavilion grey, and off black in the living room; drawing room blue in Charlie’s bedroom and olive green in the kitchen.

I’m a huge fan of white spaces, but in the home I want comfort, warmth and brave colours – dark brave rather than colour pop brave for walls and colour pop accessories to play off the dramatic backdrop.

I want to keep the walls in the dining room/ studio light – it’s the darkest room in the house, so we need to keep that in mind. So I’m thinking of going for dark skirting boards (down pipe or off black) to tie the room into the other ground floor rooms. Here are a few of the colours we’re gonna get tester pots for;

  1. I love love love F&B. Their colours seem to be more honest and real if that makes sense? 🙂 Homely! I love the navy/dark grey colour. Besure to share with us what you decide on doing!

    • Thanks Heather,
      I totally agree. We have the dark grey in our hallway and at night it looks like a really dark navy. I don’t think there are any other paints that compare and although it’s not cheap, it’s worth every penny.

      I’m buying tester pots today so will keep posting as we go!
